Jim Alloway, Catalyst Associate Partner - North America

Jim holds a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems as well as an M.E. in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Quality and served in senior engineering positions for a Fortune 250 company.

He is a certified Black Belt, Master Black Belt and Lean Six Sigma  Master Black Belt.

Experience includes

  • Extensive training for Master Black Belts, Black Belts, and Green Belts throughout North America and seven countries in Europe and Asia.
  • Former faculty member at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s College of Engineering and School of Management, as well as Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Interdisciplinary Statistics Program.
  • Three time Examiner for the New York State Governor’s Excels ior Award.
  • Published approximately 50 papers and articles in the area of Quality Improvement and Applied Statistics
  • Delivered more than 100 presentations and workshops for various professional and technical societies.
  • Has provided over 1,000 days of LSS training to various clients globally.

Recognition

Fellow of the American Society of Quality, Senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and Member of the American Statistical Association.

Publications have appeared in The Journal of Quality Technology, Quality Progress, Industrial Engineering, The Engineering Economist, and a book published by Prentice-Hall.
