| Jim came to Catalyst in 2003 having spent 10 years with Minitab Inc as Manager, International Operations. He established the UK and French subsidiaries of Minitab and served as General Manager of Minitab Ltd. Prior to joining Minitab, he was a commissioned officer in the US Air Force, where over a 23-year career, he held a variety of key positions in Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia and the USA. Whilst with Minitab, Jim was heavily involved in business development, change management and Lean Six Sigma. |

He has particular expertise in statistical/quality software and their applications and has provided direct data analysis support to Catalyst Consulting clients. In addition, he has hands-on experience in change management initiatives, and has led many successful Six Sigma projects. Since joining Catalyst, Jim has used his Six Sigma expertise and experience to train and to support a number of clients across the spectrum of business sectors including:
- telecommunications
- financial and business support services
- manufacturing and pharmaceuticals
- public services
Jim has provided direct support for successful lean and six sigma projects in manufacturing and service organisations in both the private and public sectors. He developed and delivers the major portion of Catalyst’s very popular Lean Six Sigma open courses that cover the spectrum from Lean Six Sigma Awareness to full Black Belt training.
His clients include: Dyson, Siemens Medical Systems, Airbus UK, Fujitsu Services, KeyMed Manufacturing, European Business Services, Royal Mail, BT, Centrica, VOSA and the NHS. Jim holds an MBA in International Management; he speaks French and some German, as well as his native English, and he currently divides his time between the UK and France.
Jim is a visionary with an infectious enthusiasm and passion for lean six sigma. He is able to translate vision into practical, results-creating organisations, teams and activities.
